First Holy Communion

Celebrate with us as eleven children from our parish will receive their First Holy Communion. Our gratitude goes to Mrs. Beth Mascio, the 2nd grade Religion teacher, and to Mr. Jim Tornetta, the 2nd grade teacher’s aid.

Saturday, May 12, 2018 - 11:00 AM

Bishop DeSimone, retired auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation to twenty two of our seventh graders. The sacrament of Confirmation enables the children to receive the special gifts of the Holy Spirit ... the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Right Judgment and Courage, the Spirit of Knowledge and Reverence and the Spirit of wonder and awe.

Come down stairs to the church hall and spend a little time with your parish family. Get to meet new parishioners, catch up with old friends and share some Mothers' Day Greetings!

Dont' forget, we have special Gluten-Free treats (bagels and sweets) to try and tempt everyone to join the fun.

May Procession

St. John Vianney's Annual May Procession will be held on Sunday, May 20th, immediately following the 10:30 AM Mass. Come and honor Mary in hymns and prayers of praise.
We ask that all of the First Communicants and Confirmation candidates be present at the 10:30 Mass on May 20th in order to participate in the May Procession. The children should come in their special sacramental outfits.
Of course, all St. John Vianney parishioners are encouraged to attend this parish event. It is a beautiful event that begins with a procession from the parking lot, around the church, to the front entryway where we have a brief prayer service, that culminates with the crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary. (In the event of rain, the May Procession will take place inside the church.)
Spread the word and invite your family, friends, neighbors, and fellow parishioners. Let us take the time to honor our Blessed Mother, Mary the mother of Jesus and he Church!
